That one night in May last year as a private person in Hovmantorp discovered a bomb-like object at his carport - the object had cords, a bell and a whistle that gave off a loud noise. The police were alerted to the scene and blocked off the entire neighborhood, before finding out that it was a staircase.

"The target owner hears a ticking sound and goes out, and in the roof of the carport hangs some kind of object which he believes is a bomb," Henrik Johansson, internal commander of the police in Växjö told SVT then.

Shortly thereafter, a 38-year-old man was arrested, who is now convicted of negligence for day fines. The convicted man recognizes the crime. He must also pay damages of SEK 5,000 to the victim.
