An Egyptian youth was killed in a village in the center of Mansoura, after a dispute broke out with a shepherd because of the son’s beating of the shepherd’s dog.

The Egyptian newspaper "Al-Watan" said that the Egyptian police received a signal from a public hospital in the northern city of Mansoura that the body of one of the people, a resident of the ancient village of Kafr Badawi, had arrived at the Mansoura center, and that he had injuries after a stab wound in the chest from the left side.

On examination, the 32-year-old was killed, while the investigations of the mabahith indicated that the victim had a verbal altercation between him and one of the persons, called “Hassan A.A,” 20, a shepherd, due to the victim’s son’s beating of the shepherd’s dog as he passed down their house, The shepherd responded by beating the victim's son.

Investigations confirmed that the child's father went to the victim and a verbal altercation took place between them, after which the shepherd pulled a white weapon "knife" from the folds of his clothes, and he paid the victim a window stab in the left side of the chest and escaped, but the police managed to arrest him. While the victim died upon arrival at the hospital.
