The World Organization WHO is still in crisis meeting about the Chinese corona virus, but it has not yet been decided whether the situation should be seen as a global public health emergency or not. At 19 o'clock on Thursday evening, Swedish time, the organization has called for a press conference to give an update on the situation.
On Wednesday, WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced that the organization needed more information on the virus in order to make a decision.
- This is an evolving and complex situation. Our team in China is working with local experts and authorities to investigate the outbreak, he told Reuters.
The corona virus has so far killed at least 17 people and about 600 have been infected.
