As noted in the explanatory note, according to Article 86 of the Family Code, these additional expenses are paid in excess of alimony in case of treatment and rehabilitation of the child, however, the new bill clarifies the list of exceptional circumstances and introduces a clause on it “lack of suitable living quarters”.

“The change envisaged by the bill in conjunction with the current legal regulation of children's housing rights will allow the court in each case to assess the situation taking into account all the circumstances and make a decision based on the balance of interests of the child and the parent paying alimony,” the document says.
