According to the diplomat, at present the embassy staff, in whose consular district the city of Wuhan and Hubei are located, are finding out how many Russians can live there.
The embassy also did not receive information that any of the Russians was infected.
Earlier it became known that the number of people infected with coronavirus in China reached 617, most of them lived in Hubei province. 17 patients have died.
Chinese authorities isolated the cities of Wuhan and Huangang because of the spread of the coronavirus.
