- We have a commitment to try to reduce our environmental impact and we try to do it in many different steps. The charge hybrids are part of that, says Börje Ekholm, CEO of Ericsson.

Electric cars and charging hybrids

At Ericsson, more than 98 percent of service cars ordered in 2019 were electric cars or charging hybrids. The diesel cars will be phased out completely within two to three years.

- Ladd hybrids are part of it, says Börje Ekholm.

SEB gives more expensive company car to employees if they choose one with lower emissions than one with higher. The largest subsidy from the employer is given to those who choose a car that emits a maximum of 60 grams of carbon dioxide, ie the same limit that has been applied so far for a car to receive a climate bonus from the state.

Maintains tougher environmental requirements

But unlike the government, which eased the requirements and raised the limit last autumn, SEB maintains the limit of 60 grams.

Some cars that previously gave the greatest salary benefit no longer qualify.

"We go to reality"

While the state, for example, approves large Volvo suvars as climate cars just as before, SEB does not.

- If the new measurements show that the cars emit more, we go to reality and let it break through. We want our employees to choose as climate-friendly cars as possible, preferably clean electricity in the future, says Johan Torgeby, CEO of SEB.

His own company car is a VolvoXC60, one of the cars that the government saved as climate bonus cars, but which SEB has now deleted from the list of climate-best cars.

- So when I change a car soon, I can't buy one here if I want the highest subsidy from SEB, I have to choose a more environmentally friendly car than the one I have, says Johan Torgeby.
