Snoduen noted that "in the case of Julian Assange, many people are against Assange because of his personal qualities, his previous politics, his work, they accuse him of bias and the like."

“But think about what happens if this person goes to jail for publishing what even the United States government acknowledges with reliable information,” he said.

He pointed out that Assange "is not a US citizen, he does not have a green card," he does not live in the United States and has no ties with them.

“And now we will deliver him to the United States, where he will spend the rest of his life in prison telling the truth for a crime,” he said.

Earlier, the Magistrate’s Westminster Court of London adjourned substantive hearings in the Assange extradition case.

Assange, accused of sexual harassment and rape in Sweden in 2010, has been hiding since June 2012 at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. On the morning of April 11, 2019, he was detained at the request of the United States.

A court in London found him guilty of violating bail conditions and sentenced him to 11 months in prison. Extradition hearings began on 2 May.

At the end of May, U.S. authorities said they had charged Assange with 17 episodes of violation of the law on espionage and the disclosure of classified information.

Former Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa has also been hosting the weekly political talk show Talking with Correa on RT since 2018.
