According to him, 15 million rubles were allocated for the elections.

Gogia recalled that political parties and groups of voters have the right to nominate candidates for the presidency of Abkhazia.

At the same time, a group of voters needs to collect from 2 to 2.5 thousand signatures to nominate their candidate.

“The party nominates a candidate at a congress or at a conference,” the chairman of the CEC of the republic specified.

On January 13, the Parliament of Abkhazia accepted the resignation of President Raul Khadzhimba, and Prime Minister Valery Bganba was temporarily appointed to his post.

Repeated presidential elections are scheduled for March 22 in Abkhazia.
