A worker died and 10 workers of Asian nationalities were injured with various injuries following the deterioration of a bus carrying workers on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road Road at Exit 119, where six injured people were transferred to the Sheikh Khalifa Specialist Hospital emergency in Ras Al Khaimah, the state of death and four injured to Saqr Hospital in Ras Tent for treatment.
In detail, the National Ambulance told Emirates Today that this morning, his crew, along with the Ras Al Khaimah Police and the Air Wing in the Interior, responded to a bus degradation incident on Mohamed Bin Zayed Street in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, resulting in 11 injuries, including two severe injuries, six medium and three minor injuries.
He explained that the National Ambulance Operations Room received at 7:27 am a report from the Ras Al Khaimah Police stating that a bus degradation accident occurred in the aforementioned area with 11 injured at the scene of the accident, and therefore nine ambulances and a first responder were sent to the scene.
He added, that support was requested from the air ambulance crew to manage the air wing of the General Department of Security Support in the Ministry of Interior to transport one of the injured quickly, as the first two ambulances arrived at the scene of the accident within eight minutes of receiving the communication and continued, respectively, the arrival of the other seven ambulances to the place.
He pointed out that the national ambulance crews assisted the injured at the scene of the accident, and six of them were transported by ambulances to Sheikh Khalifa Specialized Hospital and the other four to Saqr Hospital to receive the necessary medical care, while the injured were transferred through the air wing in the Interior.
A source at Saqr Governmental Hospital told Emirates Today that this morning, the Accident and Emergency Department received four injuries and one death of workers of Asian nationalities, as a result of being injured in a traffic accident on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
He explained that one of the workers arrived at the hospital in the event of death, while the other four arrived, including two workers with moderate injuries and three workers with minor injuries as a result of the accident, pointing out that no serious cases were received from the injured.
