Venezuelan intelligence agents (Sebin) raided Juan Guaido's offices in Caracas on Tuesday January 21, accusing opponents of President Nicolas Maduro. The leader of the opposition, recognized as the interim president of Venezuela by some fifty countries, is currently traveling in Europe.

"We have just been confirmed that officials from Sebin are inside President Guaido's office," said opposition MP Delsa Solorzano. She said she had met with security officials at the building where the offices of the leader of the opposition are located.

"Whatever the procedure in progress, they conduct it without authorization (...) without witnesses and they did not show a search warrant," added Delsa Solorzano.

"Cowardly dictatorship!"

Two hooded agents were posted at the entrance to Juan Guaido's offices, empty when the security forces arrived, according to a video released by another opposition MP, Angel Torres. Several other deputies went there. Angel Torres said he feared that Sebin's agents "had" false evidence on the premises.

The opposition had already denounced the arrest in the morning of a deputy from his ranks while he was going to Parliament.

"Cowardly dictatorship! While I am on tour, consolidating my support to overcome the tragedy of the Venezuelans, they show themselves without shame: They kidnap the deputy" Ismael Leon "and open our office", wrote on Twitter Juan Guaido .

¡Dictadura cobarde!

Mientras estoy de gira, consolidando apoyos para superar la tragedia que vivimos los venezolanos, exhiben sin pudor: secuestran al Dip. @leon_ismael y allanan nuestro despacho.

¡El mundo nos recibe y apoya! ¡Seguimos firms, vamos a lograr la Libertad! https://t.co/xthlR8x4Hk

Braving the ban on leaving Venezuelan territory, the opposition leader is currently on an international tour. He met with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Tuesday. The day before, he had gone to Bogota, where he had met with the head of the American diplomacy Mike Pompeo who promised him more "actions" of support in his enterprise to oust from power the president Nicolas Maduro, led in vain for a year.
