This was reported by lawyer Sergei Badamshin Golunova.

“We filed a complaint addressed to the Prosecutor General of Russia, in which we ask that the inaction of the officials of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office, who expressed their failure to fulfill an official apology on behalf of the state to Golunov, be declared unlawful, and we ask for an official apology to bring it,” TASS quotes him.

Golunov’s defense, in particular, insists that during the preliminary investigation the journalist was illegally subjected to procedural coercion measures and unreasonably prosecuted.

Earlier, Golunov was recognized as a victim in a case of abuse of authority by police officers, in respect of whom criminal cases were instituted.

The journalist was detained on June 6, 2019 in the center of Moscow. During the search, a package of drugs was found in his backpack. According to the journalist, they planted drugs on him.

On June 11, all charges in the case of the attempted sale of drugs were dropped from Golunov due to the lack of evidence of his participation in the commission of the crime.
