SVT News Jämtland was able to tell in December that the Storsjögläntan, the part of the region that cares for seriously ill people at the end of life, had to say no to patients who would die.

Following the alarm reports, the regional director Hans Svensson has now decided that a survey of the business must be done.

"The Storsjögläntan is an activity we cherish, and we are obviously keen to accommodate the patients who wish to die at home," says Hans Svensson in a press release.

- Therefore, it is important that we are responsive to the signals we receive from the business and look in a factual and structured way at what the situation looks like and what we may need to do to improve it, he says.
