“Previously, this is a fire from electrical appliances,” the governor’s comment posted on the regional administration’s Facebook says.

Zhvachkin noted that, according to preliminary data, additional heating elements were installed in each room of the building in which the fire occurred.

He also added that 13 people who were in the building at the time of the fire lived in a room that was not officially registered as a room for settling people.

Earlier it was reported that a short circuit in electrical equipment could lead to a fire in a private house in the Tomsk Region.

On January 21, in the village of Prichulymsky, Tomsk Region, a fire broke out in the house where employees of the logging company Greenwood LLC lived.
