January 21, 2020 Sardines challenge Matteo Salvini. The movement, born in Bologna only a few months ago, confirms the counter-demonstration that will take place on Thursday 23 January in Bibbiano simultaneously with the rally of the leader of the League. The decision was made during the public assembly organized by the Sardines in the Emilian town. The citizens of Bibbiano, after the investigation into an alleged child trafficking in Val d'Enza, were "victims of the League and other jackals for six months," said the leader of the Sardine movement, Mattia Sartori, at the end of the public assembly and added: "This evening's meeting was the most exciting" since the beginning of the Sardine adventure.

Sartori again stressed the sardine movement's goal of pushing voters to vote. "We have already said that our challenge is a lot on the turnout, on the participation. This is where the game is played. Not so much on the left or on the right. The desire to vote and have their say has returned. We asked people to lose face and it would be inconsistent not to ask the same thing when it comes to voting. "

Salvini had chosen the municipality of Val d'Enza to close the election campaign for the regional elections. So Thursday 23 January, Matteo Salvini and Lucia Borgonzoni will be in the Piazza della Repubblica, in front of the town hall, the contested space then assigned to the League as a political party. And on the same day the sardines will gather, 200 meters away in Piazza Libero Grassi.

On Friday the League secretary will be in Ravenna, on Saturday the sardines will go a few kilometers to the Papeete, the beach club of Milano Marittima. A symbolic place of Salvini's season in government, where the head of the League danced with mojito in his hand as minister of the interior a few days before dropping the government. "Everyone to bathe at Papeete": this is the 'call' of the flash-mob launched by sardines. The event will be held on the afternoon of Saturday 25 January, on the eve of the elections in Emilia Romagna. And it will, in fact, close the mobilization on the territory of the movement for the elections in Emilia-Romagna.
