"It is impossible to completely exclude the importation into Russia of a new coronavirus, as, indeed, of any other virus," the report said.
As indicated in the department, more than one and a half million Chinese citizens annually come to Russia and about the same number of our fellow citizens visit China.
It is noted that even in the case of the importation of a new coronavirus into Russia, the probability of its wide spread can be estimated as low. As emphasized in the department, this became possible thanks to the measures taken by the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Health announced that in February the ministry will create an express test to detect a new coronavirus.
As of January 19, 198 cases of infection with a new type of coronavirus were registered in Chinese Wuhan, 25 people were discharged from hospitals, four were killed.
As stated in the PRC, the discovered new type of coronavirus is transmitted from person to person.
