In Girona, in Catalonia (northeast), 220,000 homes were deprived of electricity on Tuesday, for hours, according to emergency devices, before the holidays were fixed.

According to local authorities, the highway between France and Spain was cut off on both sides of the border.

In the French eastern Pyrenees mountain range, snow fell at a height of 200 meters, and 1,000 homes were deprived of electricity.

The storm also forced the authorities to close schools in Spain, and in the regions of Catalonia and Valencia (east) 170 thousand students did not go to schools, Tuesday, according to the regional governments.
