The Qatar Airways Catering Company has agreed with the National Blessing Center (community) to redistribute the food and beverage surplus on Qatar Airways to the poor families in the country.

The company said - in a statement - that between 200 and 300 kilograms of fruit, grains, soft drinks, milk and chocolate will be redistributed to poor families in Qatar in cooperation with the Grace Center.

"The agreement will contribute to the delivery of packed meals and foodstuffs to people in need in the local community," said Michael Winner, First Vice President of Qatar Aircraft Catering.

The public relations official at the "Keeping Grace" center, Youssef Al-Khulaifi, expressed his pride in cooperating with the Qatar Aircraft Catering Company, with the aim of distributing the surplus meals to the people in need in the Qatari society, and said that this will have a significant impact on the community.

In 2002, Qatar Airways Group launched the Qatar Aircraft Catering Company to become the exclusive provider of catering services for the group, international airlines and lounges at Hamad International Airport in Doha.

The Charity Conservation Center is concerned with collecting surplus food from festivals, weddings and hotels, then its activities have expanded to include surplus collection of clothes, furniture, electronic devices and other supplies.
