Head of Ukrainian delegation to PACE speaks out against friendship with Russia

In her opinion, Ukraine should talk with Russia "only within the framework of international law."

“If in the debate Russia speaks of incorrect and fake narratives, of course, we must respond, engage in dialogue, convey our position,” she said.

Yasko added that "this does not mean that we should be friends with them and forget who the aggressor is."

On January 16, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted to resume the work of Ukraine in PACE.

In September 2019, the Ukrainian delegation to PACE, which did not agree with the return of Russia to the assembly, officially refused to participate in the organization’s autumn session.
