After a difficult thirteen weekend, the hospital management at Södersjukhuset now describes the situation as "fairly stable". As of today, the hospital is introducing new ways of working, part of the preparation for the move to the new emergency room scheduled for May. It tells the management at a press conference today. - Patient pressure is manageable today, says Mikael Runsiö, CEO of Södersjukhuset.
The new working methods should facilitate when the patient pressure is high. This is about separating those who work with the most severely ill patients from others.
- Our emergency room is under-sized. The new one, which opens in May, is more spacious and more adapted to the large business, says chief physician Eva Östblom.
