Vladimir Gorbanev - a Russian citizen residing in Chanty-Mansijsk, in Western Siberia - has published an announcement on the very popular classifieds site Avito, a Russian analogue of eBay. The Siberian offers snowdrifts for sale to residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg who, due to an abnormal winter, have seen very little snow.

Gorbanev presents the goods as "fresh and white, without dyes". In the announcement there are photos of the snow available and the price, 150 euros per pile and delivery ex warehouse seller, that is, on the spot, in Siberia. The man, contacted by a local journalist, explained that they have already written to him "potential customers", asking him for the discount and to "evaluate the possibility of delivery of the goods at home".
