- When I moved to Sweden in the 1970s, I dreamed of being so good at the language that I could write a book, says Jale Poljarevius.

He wrote the book Children's Hospital together with a good friend, Karl Eidem. It has so far come out as an audio book, read by the actor Stefan Sauk, and as an e-book.

It is about a hostage frame at a children's hospital in Stockholm and the main character is a female police officer.

Jale Poljarevius and Karl Eidem have been working on the book for a year and a half.

- We usually come up with ideas, and then we meet and braid the parts together - we take long walks in Stockholm and call the goods a lot, says Jale Poljarevius.

The imagination has flowed

He has used his experience as a police officer with a focus on gang crime, but only to a certain extent.

- We have let the imagination flow too, even the police work becomes too boring to portray. And so I have taken inspiration from people I have worked with. No colleague is appointed, but there are certainly small particles of people I have worked with - some may recognize themselves a bit.
