- I can confirm that there has been a threatening situation in connection with a LGBTQ operation in Uppsala municipality, says the municipality's security manager Anders Fridborg.

The threat was directed at an open educational opportunity from various activities within the municipality of Uppsala, and is part of the municipality's work to hbtq-certify its operations. Since 2017, the municipality has conducted its own LGBTQ courses to "ensure that everyone is treated in an equal way".

Anders Fridborg is responsible for overall issues regarding security and safety in the municipality of Uppsala.

- The decision to cancel the rest of the training was taken from a precautionary perspective. And so a police report has been set up and the case is handed over there, says Anders Fridborg.

"Serious to try to influence the municipality"

Exactly how the threat came or how it was designed, the security manager does not want to go into it.

How serious are you at this?

- Exactly how serious the threat is, the police must decide. But we think all attempts to influence the municipality's operations are serious in themselves.

Will you continue to conduct this type of education?

- Absolutely!
