Regional Council: "Västerbotten has a shortage of people"

At the most recent meeting with the country's regional council responsible for development, the onset of the recession was on the agenda.

Richard Carstedt (S) raised his hand and pointed out that Västerbotten is moving towards the trend.

- Then I said we have Sweden's lowest unemployment rate falling. We do not have a lack of skills because there are people to educate, but we simply lack people.

Both on the coast and inland, companies scream for staff.

- I recently met 25 inland companies. Everyone says that lack of skills is their biggest issue.
