- The western boom is on the ground, and a barrier has been set up. You try to redirect traffic but people both walk and cycle over here anyway, says SVT Uppsala's reporter Julia Forslund who is in place at the railway crossing.

According to the Swedish Transport Administration, the broken boom has led to delays of around 5 minutes north of Uppsala. The delays started just before 3pm, and it is still unclear what caused the broken boom.

- There are some staff on site here and it seems that this should be addressed as soon as possible.

At 15.45, SVT's reporter states that it is slow for the trains to get past S: t Persgatan.
