“Russian President Vladimir Putin has submitted to the State Duma a draft law on amendments to the Constitution of Russia,” RIA Novosti quoted the Kremlin representative as saying.

According to him, the representatives of the head of state when considering the bill in the State Duma will be the co-chairs of the constitutional commission - the chairman of the Duma committee on state building and legislation, Pavel Krasheninnikov, Senator Andrei Klishas and the director of the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of Taliya Khabrieva.

Earlier, the co-chairs of the working group on preparing proposals for amendments to the Constitution sent a letter to Putin, in which they advocated the determination of the status of the State Council in the main law.

As indicated in the Kremlin, the mechanism for voting on amendments will be drawn up during the work of the constitutional commission.
