In Västerbotten, it was Vännäs and Vilhelmina municipality that received money in 2019. Vilhelmina received SEK 3.3 million in government grants, money that went to securing the stream Tvärån between Henriksfjäll and Kittelfjäll. At high water flows and floods, soil masses, trees and stumps could be drawn.

- We wanted to secure the buildings in Kittelfjäll from sludge landslides. There is a great interest in building there and we have to think about safety, ”says Karl-Johan Ottosson, who is the commander-in-chief of Vilhelmina.

He tells SVT that it is difficult to know if the investment was made without the state grant.
