French world champion Kylian Mbappé dreams of achieving the "Champions League, Euro, Olympics triplet" with PSG and the French team in 2020, he said on the sidelines of the launch of his charitable association.
To the question, "what is your dream for 2020?", Mbappé replied with a smile: "It would be a triplet Champions League, Euro, Olympic Games. It would not be bad!"
"For the moment this seems inaccessible but I will try to make sure that this dream is fulfilled. It would already be a pride to be able to bring the first European title (in C1) from Paris and to continue to make our country win", he added to the press in the presence of the young beneficiaries of his association.
Called "Inspired by KM", the association aims to help 98 young children - as many boys as girls aged 9 to 16 and from all "different social backgrounds" - to fulfill "their dreams ".
At the end of last December, Mbappé had clearly applied for the Olympic Games in an interview with France Football magazine, while ensuring that he wanted to decide in agreement with PSG, with whom he will not go "clash".
"Participation in the Olympics, I do not control everything. Of course I want to go, but if my club, which is my employer, does not want me to go, I will not go to clash," said the 2018 world champion.
"We will soon talk about it with Leo (Leonardo)", the sports director of Paris SG, he added, while the Brazilian leader was rather cautious on the subject.
For Leonardo, a possible selection of Mbappé for Tokyo (July 23-August 8) should not be at the expense of his health, while the striker must already compete in Euro-2020 with the Blues (June 12-July 12 ) and that PSG resumes in principle its season in Ligue 1 in early August.
If the Parisian star (21) was summoned by the coach of the French Olympic team, Sylvain Ripoll, his vacation could therefore be taken at the expense of the start of the season of his club.
The striker had also assured having discussed a possible participation in the Games with the coach of the Blues Didier Deschamps, of which he is one of the basic men for Euro-2020.
Mbappé had already hinted that he dreamed of competing in the Olympic tournament by celebrating the qualification of the French team at the end of June last, with a tweet "TOKYO 2020" accompanied by an emoticon with flashing eyes and a French flag .
