According to Priestayko, at the last meeting with the OSCE Chairperson, Edy Rama, the further development of cooperation with the Organization’s Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) was discussed.

“We made a formal proposal to continue the activities of this mission and not only continue, but to add opportunities and human potential so that the mission is even more effective than in previous years,” he said.

In December, Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, said that the UN Security Council did not discuss the issue of sending a mission to Donbass.
