A cyclist was the victim of gratuitous violence while riding a VélôToulouse. - F. Scheiber / 20 Minutes

This is called gratuitous violence. Saturday evening, shortly before midnight, a 30-year-old man is riding around the city on a self-service bicycle from Toulouse. Suddenly, without warning, a young man approaches him and punched him in the back, before striking him in the ankle which causes him to fall.

Once on the ground, he punched his victim before leaving. The scene took place under the "eye" of the video surveillance cameras. The PC security operator quickly alerted a team of municipal police.

The officers successfully intercepted the 18-year-old and fairly tipsy assailant. The latter was arrested. As for his victim, she intended to file a complaint.
