According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, three UAVs approached a military facility from the north-east direction after dark.
“The airborne targets were destroyed at a safe distance from the airbase using the standard anti-aircraft missile systems of the Russian air base," the report said.
No one was hurt, there is no damage, the base is functioning as planned.
Earlier it was reported that militants in Syria on December 22 attempted to attack the Russian air base Khmeimim with the help of drones.
