The Constitutional Amendment Group will submit a package of proposals to Parliament

This is stated in a statement by the co-chairs of the working group.

It is noted that the next task of the group is "analysis and systematization of proposals received through its members in the development of trunk lines designated by the President of Russia."

“Without delaying this process, we will submit for consideration by the Federal Assembly of Russia our own package of proposals on behalf of the working group,” the statement said.

On January 15, Russian leader Vladimir Putin, announcing a message to the Federal Assembly, proposed a vote on a package of constitutional amendments.

He later explained that “the meaning of these amendments is to ensure the further development of Russia as a legal, social state, to increase the efficiency of institutions.”
