Anne Hidalgo and Rachida Dati debate in an amphitheater at Sciences-Po Paris as the municipal elections approach, April 17, 2013. - VINCENT WARTNER / 20 Minutes

Anne Hidalgo can envisage her re-election in March in Paris, while Rachida Dati (LR) confirms her successful start to the campaign, to the detriment of the official LREM (Benjamin Griveaux) or dissident (Cédric Villani) candidates, according to a new Ifop poll for the Journal Sunday .

In the first round, the "Paris in common" list of Anne Hidalgo, outgoing PS mayor, would get 25% of the votes in front of the "Engaged to change Paris" list of Rachida Dati, former Keeper of the Seals of Nicolas Sarkozy (19%).

LREM MPs Benjamin Griveaux (15%) and Cédric Villani (13%) pay the price for their division. The capital had however massively voted for Emmanuel Macron in the presidential election of 2017, and still allocated almost 33% of the votes to the LREM list in the European elections.

Hidalgo widens its advantage

Between them is the ecologist David Belliard (14%), subject to stiff competition in a municipal landscape where all the candidates strive to green their program. Anne Hidalgo, who appeared in difficulty a year ago, after, in particular, the Vélib 'fiasco, widens her advantage over her competitors.

In the previous poll published by Ifop in December, it was already in the lead with 22.5% of voting intentions. Benjamin Griveaux (17%) and Rachida Dati (17%) were shoulder to shoulder in front of Cédric Villani (14%) and David Belliard (12.5%).

In the second round, the list of Anne Hidalgo and David Belliard would largely prevail (41%), ahead of that of Rachida Dati (22%) followed by Benjamin Griveaux (20%) and Cédric Villani (17%)
