Le Vide Dressing du Cabaret Burlesque

Experiences> Shopping - 38 rue des Ormeaux, 75020, Paris - Free

Come and hunt for second-hand costumes, accessories and outfits that belonged to the artists of the Burlesque Cabaret, but also new pieces made by the creators of the Burlesque Klub! Taken in the American sense of the term, the Burlesque is an entertainment mixing naughty cabaret and light comedy which knew its hours of glory at the end of the XIXth century in the Parisian cabarets then in the United States until the 60s with the reign of the pin up. Updated in the 90s under the name of new-burlesque, it is today a plural and feminist art with aesthetic, comic or committed performances. A stripping show above all, it stages women and men playing with their forms with glamor and second degree. In line with this American-style “entertainment” and in the manner of an illustrated lesson, the troupe of the Burlesque Klub dissects all the facets of the movement with poetic, funny or totally kitsch numbers. The neat staging, the retro aesthetic with a lot of feathers and glitter reinforce this show full of good humor and communicative energy.
