Paralyzed lay in feces half a day in the detention

After an investigation, JO addresses serious criticism of the Prison Service's handling of the disabled man during the five days in the detention

The detainee did not have access to any shower hose and the man's nursing needs were greater than the prison staff could handle. Only after twelve hours could the man be taken to another unit with shower space.

"Of course, it is totally unacceptable, and the detention deserves serious criticism," writes the Chief JO in the decision.

The detention is also criticized for lack of documentation, as the journal entry under the man's detention is very sparse.
