Dubai Roads is implementing the first phase of the project to prepare its facilities to support those of determination

Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has announced the completion of the first phase of the project to rehabilitate its buildings and facilities, to make them conform to the provisions of the "Dubai Code" for people of determination, in furtherance of the "My Community .. A Place for All" initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and me Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council, has ruled that the entire Emirate of Dubai should be friendly to people of determination, by the year 2020.

The Chairman of the Committee of the Friendly Entity for the People of Determination in the Authority, Abdulredha Abulhassan, said that the first phase of the project started in October 2019 and was completed, which includes the rehabilitation of the main building of the Authority, and the happiness centers for customers in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Awir, and a number of bus stations These are Hatta, Jebel Ali, Al Qusais, Al Karama, Deira City Center, Mall of the Emirates, multi-storey car park buildings in Al Ghubaiba, Naif, Raqqa, Old Sabkha, and New Sabkha, in addition to providing guidance boards in Braille, toilets and counters for the challenges Kinetics, Acoustics and Cross Enhancers Providing a microphone for the reception staff to communicate with the owners of audio challenges in case of direct inquiries and inquiries, in addition to allocating stations for charging electric wheelchairs at bus stations in Jebel Ali, Deira, Hatta and Al Qusais, as an initiative to serve people of determination.

He added that the authority is keen on implementing all stages of preparing its facilities and buildings, according to the requirements of the «Dubai Code», and that this project addresses the needs of all categories of people of determination who number 4996 cases in the Emirate of Dubai, of whom 3344 are male, and 1652 are female, according to the statistics of the Ministry of Development Society, in addition to the project helping to provide a friendly environment for employees of owners of determination in the Authority, and they number 28 employees and employees, indicating that the project promotes and also stimulates tourism by providing the necessary services to facilitate the movement of people of determination who are tourists. He emphasized that the authority will complete the second phase of the project by the end of this year.
