CPVS announced new attacks by militants on the Syrian army

This was announced at a briefing by the head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria, Major General Yuri Borenkov.

“At 9.20 p.m. on January 17, in the area of ​​the village of Abu Jref, a gang of up to 50 militants, with the support of BMP and six tanks, attacked the positions of the Syrian Arab army,” he said.

According to him, then the situation on the front edge of the defense of the Syrian army was restored and the militants retreated to the nearest settlements.

“During January 18, clashes in the specified area continued,” he said.
