Tags threatening to kill an employee of an association that organizes the reception of refugees were discovered Thursday, January 16, in Otterswiller, in the Bas-Rhin.

The tags directly threaten this employee, as well as his family. Two swastikas were also painted on the house wall, reports The Latest News.

An investigation has been opened

The daily notes that this is the first time, in the Bas-Rhin, that the home of an individual is directly targeted by hate tags. Until now, these registrations have been aimed either at the homes of elected officials or at public buildings. In two years, around thirty facts of an anti-Semitic or anti-migrant nature were noted in the department.

The Strasbourg Research Section, which specializes in identifying the authors of hate tags, has opened an investigation, the regional daily said.
