The toll of the accident on Wednesday in Lampaul-Guimiliau (Finistère) has increased further with now three children who died after falling from a car in a river. Transferred Thursday from Brest to the Nantes University Hospital when he was in critical condition, an 8-year-old boy died during the day, we learned from the gendarmerie.

The same day, we had already learned of the death on the night of her 4-year-old sister. The body of their 10-year-old brother was found dead Wednesday by divers in the river several hundred meters from the accident site. In cardiopulmonary arrest, the two youngest children had been transferred to the Cavale Blanche University Hospital in Brest.

Screening for alcohol and negative drugs

The accident occurred in a straight line shortly before noon on a departmental road. The vehicle, driven by the mother who was able to get out of the cabin alone, plunged into the Quillivaron River at a small bridge and ended up on the roof.

The alcohol and narcotics tests performed on the driver were negative. No other vehicle was involved in the accident.
