The lifeless body of a 49-year-old woman was discovered at the foot of the cliffs of Etretat, this Thursday, January 16. The disappearance of the victim, originally from Le Havre (Seine-Maritime), was reported around 6 p.m., reports Actu.fr.
At first, the gendarmes had managed to locate the cell phone of the forties in Étretat. The soldiers then went on the spot with a canine team to try to find this woman "with suicidal tendencies", specifies Actu.fr. The dog quickly headed for the cliffs.
At around 8:00 p.m., the victim's mobile phone stopped broadcasting and gusts of wind made helicopter intervention impossible. The gendarmes had therefore resolved to stop searching for the night. However, at around 11:15 p.m., when they got back to their vehicles, they fell on the victim's body.
