The Employment Agency's IT initiative Jobtech rents office space next to AF's regular office network, which is motivated by Jobtech not having to be "entangled" in "legal challenges".

When SVT reported last year on this, the train authority distanced itself from the wording, and confirmed that there were formal errors regarding the leases.

Now it turns out that they also violated the procurement rules.

Jobtech has purchased furniture for the premises in Piteå for SEK 25,000 outside the authority's framework agreement.

According to the press service, after the discovery, several measures have been taken and "informed all involved about correct routines".

Costly “gig meetup”

And there are more thousands of patches like port failures.

The other day, SVT revealed that an AF manager who worked with Jobtech at the same time started a single-interest organization for Jobtech - a sort of "fan club", for himself.

The association writes on its website that it offers "a link to the state's work on developing a digital infrastructure for the labor market".

The employment agency rejects at first that one should have some cooperation with the union - but SVT's review shows that it is not true.

Last year, a joint "meetup" was held on the "gig economy" and the "gig platform" that Jobtech is developing. Local, coffee and sandwiches were ordered by AF, which also paid the bill of about SEK 8,000.

After an internal quick review, it is now said that it was a mistake.

"The bill should have been paid by the association because it convenes," says the Employment Service's Jobtech manager Gregory Golding.

Chief Executive: "Important and good with these reviews"

SVT's review of Jobtech on Friday prompted a press release from the Public Employment Service, with comments from Director General Maria Mindhammar.

- Of course, these reviews are important and good and I welcome them. If I am to be a little solemn, it is important for our democracy.

Mindhammar says he is confident with the reviews made by the IT initiatives, but states that the authority has hired an external consultant to review Jobtech, among other things.

- This with control and follow-up is obviously something that we have up on the management's agenda. We can not have a let go mentality but must work consistently with follow-up of deliveries and assignments. I will be clear about this in my governance of the authority.
