January 17, 2020 In a few hours the high pressure that has been the undisputed protagonist of the meteorological scene over Italy for more than a month, will leave our country for a few days. An Atlantic disturbance is ready to hit many Italian regions reporting rain and snow. Experts explain that from tonight the weather will get worse in the Northwest with rains more and more widespread that from Liguria will extend to Piedmont and Lombardy. During the night it will also worsen over Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio with first rainfall.

Tomorrow, Saturday 18, in the morning bad weather over Lombardy, Northeast, Tuscany, Lazio, Umbria and Marche with widespread rains and snowfall, in the Alps at 4-700 meters, in the northern Apennines above 800 meters, in the central Apennines starting from 900 -1200 meters. Some rain will also wash over the coasts of Campania and Tyrrhenian Calabria. During the afternoon the weather will have improved in the Northwest, the last rains will still wet the Northeast and the central sectors (especially the Adriatic side).

On Sunday 19 there will be a storm of colder winds from the north-eastern quadrants. The weather will improve in the North, on the Tyrrhenian regions and in the South while it will remain more unstable on the central-southern Adriatic regions where occasional snowfalls will be able to whiten the Apennines above 7-900 meters. Meteorologists also explain that next week the high pressure will begin to increase in the North, while in the Center-South there will be a phase of bad weather that will hit Sardinia hard. However, the rains will also affect the Ionian sectors and initially still the central Adriatic slopes.
