Emma Gembäck on Christ's Bride: "She judged whether one was right or wrong"

2020-01-17T17:19:11.464Z

This week, the trial started in Knutbydramat where three pastors in the congregation are charged with, among other things, abuse and sexual exploitation. In SVT's Skavlan, Emma Gembäck tells of the time alongside Åsa Waldau, the congregation's "bride of Christ". - If you were "wrong" you could go out of her house and not be there.

15 years ago, Christ's Bride and Knutby became known as a place where a distorted religious belief led to murder.

According to Emma Gembäck, also her past pastor in Knutby, during the time in the congregation she was identified as "wrong" and expelled from the group around Christ's bride.

- We used the expression that one could be "right" or "wrong" and it was she (Åsa Waldau, editor.) Who was responsible for the assessment.

How did you get "wrong"?

- It could be that you were greeted incorrectly or did not pour the coffee properly. Or that I didn't get a message from God when she wanted it, says Emma Gembäck.

SVT has sought Åsa Waldau's lawyer to hear his comment, with no results.

See the interview with Emma Gembäck in the clip above. The album will be broadcast on Friday, January 17 and can be viewed on SVT Play from 17:00.
