“In line with the agreements reached earlier at the highest level, it was agreed to continue the dialogue on strategic issues in this format, including cooperation on certain issues at the expert level in the near future,” the ministry said.

On January 16, Vienna hosted negotiations between Russia and the United States on strategic stability.

The delegations were led by Deputy Foreign Secretary Sergei Ryabkov and Acting Under Secretary of State Christopher Ford.

The State Department reported that delegations discussed the possibility of moving beyond the bilateral format on arms control.
