It is noted that the head of Russia signed the corresponding decree "On the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation."

“To appoint Dmitry Medvedev as Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, relieving him of the duties of Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation,” the text of the document says.

This decree comes into force from the day it is signed.

On January 15, the Russian government resigned. In this regard, Putin offered Medvedev the position of deputy chairman of the Security Council.
