Schoolchildren must have been confined a little over a week ago. New shots disturbed the relative tranquility of the Mercure district in Miramas (Bouches-du-Rhône), learns 20 minutes from a police source, confirming information from La Provence.

“We were called by residents who heard gunshots. Colleagues intervened but they found no one, only a few shells. The shooter (s) visibly opened fire in front of a building, but fortunately there were no victims, ”said this police source.

A reaction following arrests?

Several dozen school children nevertheless had to be confined within their school. A similar scene had already occurred on January 7, again forcing the students to be confined. "According to the first information, the denunciable and criminal acts of the past few days seem to be in reaction following the recent arrests of delinquents by the national police force, but the results of the investigation will confirm it," said Mayor Frédéric Vigouroux.

He also welcomed the arrest of an individual suspected of being the source of the shooting. This did not prevent this from happening again.
