Al Yamahi told «Emirates Today» that he graduated from the Air Wing Institute at the Ministry of Interior in the Emirate of Sharjah in 1996, and joined the Air Wing Division in Ras Al Khaimah Police immediately after its establishment in 1999, continuing that the department carried out more than 4000 sorties, during which he saved more than a life 2000 people were stranded and lost in the mountains of Ras Al Khaimah and stranded in its Odette, confirming that the department has sufficient experience to deal with the topography of the mountainous, marine and desert terrains.

He mentioned that one of the most difficult rescue operations was six years ago, when 600 people were stuck in Wadi al-Bayh, in the midst of strong winds and flowing into the water of the valley, where he managed to transport the stranded people from the bank of the valley to the opposite side, and transport the stranded people from Jabal Jais to Barr Al-Aman throughout the day and night .

Al-Yamahi pointed out that one of the most important rescue operations was the beginning of last week with the beginning of the first round of the three-day depression, as the section transported 204 people stranded in Wadi Al-Bayh from residents of villages near Jabal Jis, and their eviction from their homes due to the entry of the valley's water to the villages Electricity and water were cut off from them, as workers stranded in the mountain and some pregnant women and children were transported, an elderly citizen was suffering from a lack of oxygen, and health care was provided by the competent authorities.

He added that he saved 50 people stuck in Wadi Al-Bayh last Monday, where three helicopters participated in transporting the stranded people for seven and a half hours, despite the presence of strong winds and the flow of the valley's waters.

Al-Yamahi added that the heavy rains and strong winds in the recent depression were unprecedented in Ras Al Khaimah, and none of them witnessed during his work, as the climatic factors were difficult, complex and dangerous, explaining that his experience in flying contributed to the success of the rescue missions in coordination with the competent authorities in the Ras police The tent.

He continued that he decided to risk his life and implement Plan (B) to save the driver before the vehicle was washed away and the driver loses his life, as he got off the helicopter to the level of the vehicle until the rear frame of the plane touched the roof of the vehicle, and the young man managed to get on the plane easily.
