This was stated by the official representative of the organization’s secretary general Stefan Dujarric.
“The UN Secretary General will leave for Berlin to take part in the conference on Libya on Sunday,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
According to Dujarric, Guterres will be accompanied by UN Special Representative for Libya Gassan Salame and UN Under-Secretary-General for Peacebuilding Rosemary Dicarlo.
Earlier it was reported that German Chancellor Angela Merkel and German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas will participate in the conference on Libya in Berlin.
It was noted that the head of the Libyan National Accord Government, Faiz Sarraj, and the Libyan National Army (LNA) commander, Marshal Khalifa Haftar, were also invited to Berlin.
