Disappointing Sunday against Monaco at the Parc des Princes, Kylian Mbappé did not lag behind to regain his performance by scoring two goals in the Paris victory over the Rock (4-1) Wednesday in a late match of the 15th day of Ligue 1.

His match against Monaco last Sunday was very average. Little in line with its standards. Kylian Mbappé had to react at the Stade Louis-II. Where it all started for him as a professional, on December 2, 2015.

As often under these conditions, the 2018 world champion responded. Vivid, inspired, voluntary, involved and able to make defensive efforts, as when he committed this mistake while trying to recover a ball (33rd), Mbappé was above all the first scorer of his team.

Until then his team, where Thomas Tuchel had still associated the "Fantastic Four" (Neymar, Mbappé, Icardi and Di Maria), mastered the meeting. He was himself involved in two magnificent opportunities.

Each time, after having made the difference by overflowing on the left side, he served Neymar, little successful. On the first caviar of "KM", "Ney", only two meters from goal, was ahead of Icardi much better placed, without framing (7th). On the second, it was Benjamin Lecomte who masterfully pulled out the heel of the Brazilian (18th).

The young 21-year-old French striker then took matters into his own hands. He remained on the lookout on the right side, when Colin Dagba recovered a ball from Keita Baldé's feet. Angel Di Maria, from the outside, put it into orbit. He did not miss the frame (1-0, 24th).

The sequel was a Parisian recital. Mbappé had the opportunity to finalize it. But twice (28th and 41st) before the break and another time after (59th), Lecomte deflected his strikes in force or stung for a corner.

With the many important deadlines to come, his second half was less incisive. That didn't stop him from scoring his team's fourth and final goal. Against again. And in front of the Monaco Kop who had just verbally abused him.

Served by Neymar, he drew Lecomte before scoring with a cross shot from the left (4-1, 90th + 3). The new insults against him did not prevent him from celebrating his goal in his own way.

The top scorer in Ligue 1 last season (33 goals) has therefore treated his stats. Serene and happy at the end of the game, he can have the feeling of duty accomplished: Paris is leading the way in Ligue 1, the team was successful with its "Fantastic Four". And personally, he returned to a unit of Wissam Ben Yedder in the L1 goalscorer ranking (13 goals against 14) with 5 more achievements in the Champions League, and 2 in the League Cup.
