Earlier, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas announced talks with the Iraqi government on the presence of international coalition troops in the country.

On January 5, the Iraqi parliament voted to withdraw foreign troops from the country. The country's authorities have already begun preparing a mechanism to implement this decision.
