The use of video surveillance images allowed the investigators to trace the suspect. Monday, a 21-year-old man, living in Brignais, south of Lyon, was arrested for sexual assaults perpetrated last June on two young women, we learned from the police.

On June 4, while he was on a bus on line 28, running between La Soie and Sept Chemins, the man is said to have spotted a young 22-year-old woman with whom he had stroked his thigh. Three days later, on the same line, the man allegedly reoffended by attacking another passenger, also aged 22.

Left free

Identified after the exploitation of the video surveillance present in the bus, the suspect was placed in police custody. He would have justified his actions by "pretending to be shy to accost the young girls", adds the departmental security.

Presented to the prosecution on Tuesday, the man was left free. He was summoned to court to explain these facts on May 28, 2020.
